4 Years?? Wow!

Dave and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last Saturday. Our real anniversary was on the 6th, but that was a totally crazy day for us. It was the day before the last day of school for me, and our lives were kind of in chaos. We decided to celebrate on the weekend instead.

Because our lives were so crazy leading up to this day, our anniversary was kind of low-key this year. We usually make a big deal out of it, but this one was kind of low-stress, low-worry, which in a way was really nice. Dave worked Saturday morning (so that he could take the day off next Monday for my birthday), and we opened presents when he came home. We're usually so good at taking pictures, but we were kind of slackers this time. Sorry! I got a cute new skirt, an iTunes gift card, some new bread pans, and a pre-natal exercise video (which is awesome, by the way!). Dave got some new clothes, a Vietnam War documentary, a new book by Dan Brown, and a little scrapbook I made of all of our adventures that we had before having a baby.

We had researched places around the Ogden area to eat dinner, and had finally settled on one called Taggarts. We'd heard really good things about it, but we'd never tried it. We decided to give it a try, and boy did we make the right decision! It is a restaurant/grill in Morgan, so we got to take a little 20 minute drive up the beautiful canyon. The place was beautiful, and before I even walked in, I was excited to eat there just because of how gorgeous the view was.

The food there was AMAZING. I ordered a hamburger (if you know me, you know this is kind of strange. I'm not a huge meat person, but it sounded SOO good to me). It was the best hamburger I've ever had in my life. Ever. Dave ordered pot roast with mashed potatoes, and he loved his meal as well. After we had had our fill, we ordered some dessert to go, and headed back home. We LOVED Taggarts, and are already anxious to go there again.

See what I mean?? Gorgeous!!

After dinner, we came back and Dave had a surprise present for me. I had just finished reading Jane Austen's book Persuasion, and he bought me the BBC movie version of it. He said that we could watch it that night, and I didn't ask him twice. It was just as good as I thought/hoped it would be, and I was excited to be watching it with my cute hubby. We ate our desserts from Taggarts while watching, and had a great night together.

Being married to Dave is the best thing in the whole entire world. He is such a wonderful man, and I feel so lucky to have found him. He is my rock, my best friend, my best supporter, and the love of my life. I'm so excited that this is only year 4 of many, many happy years to come. Happy Anniversary Dave! I love you. :)
