Happy Happy Birthday To Me!

Anybody who knows me well knows that I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY. It is the best day of the year, and I soak up every single minute of it. My birthday was on a Sunday this year, so Dave and I mostly celebrated on Saturday. I used to be kind of bummed when my birthday was on Sunday, but now it's kind of fun, because you get two days of fun instead of just one. :)

We spent Saturday morning on a 14-mile bike ride from Bountiful to Zupas in Farmington and back. I have been craving their Nuts About Berries salad, and it was at the area in Farmington we were riding to, so it worked out perfectly.

The ride was really, really fun. It was long, but we had a fun time riding and chatting with each other.

After our bike ride, we got cleaned up at my Mom's house and then went to a ring ceremony/wedding reception of one of my best friends from high school, Mike. There was a point in high school where I hung out every single day with Mike and his best friend Woody. We were a threesome, and we did everything together. I was so excited to see him so happily married. I was so proud of his decision to be married in the temple, and his wife is just darling. Dave and I can't wait to go on a double date with them! Woody is also getting married towards the end of this month, and I'm so excited for him as well. His wife is very sweet, and she loves Disney as much as Dave and I, so she was an instant favorite for us. I wish that they lived closer so that we could double date with them as well.  It was so fun to see both of them and to get caught up with them. They are just awesome people.

After the nice reception, Dave took me to dinner at Cafe Rio. I can't even explain how much I love Cafe Rio. It has a hold on me that I don't think will ever be released. The food was SO YUMMY, and then we went home to watch a movie that Dave gave me for an early birthday present - Little Dorrit. It is a British BBC film (they are my absolutely favorite), and even though Dave kept falling asleep, I was on the edge of my seat and loved every minute of it.

The next morning was my real birthday, so the celebration continued! Dave made me breakfast in bed, and really made me feel like a queen. :)
I had orange-peach-mango juice, an omelette, fruit with cream, and cinnamon rolls! Look at that plate of tasties! I didn't eat them all, but believe me, they were good enough to.

After breakfast I got to open my presents from Dave.

I was drowning in presents! Haha. Before...

...and after. (Notice the game Killer Bunnies? It has become our obsession lately! It is so fun!)

After breakfast and presents, we got ready for church, and I got to teach my cute little kiddos in primary. It was fun to see them - they are so stinking cute. After church, we headed up to my Mom's to have dinner, open presents, and have cake and ice cream. I also introduced them to Killer Bunnies, which I think they kind of enjoyed and kind of thought we were crazy people for liking it. Haha. Once you play it, you'll know what we mean. It is absolutely ridiculous, but so much fun!

It was probably my best birthday so far! I loved it and am so thankful to Dave and to everyone in my family for making it such a special day. I'm very sad that I have to wait an entire YEAR for it to come again, but I am excited that Dave's birthday is coming up. His birthday is the 2nd best birthday of the whole year, and I am excited to share it with him. :)
