Then I had to go to work, which was actually pretty fun. I had some of my friends who remembered it was my birthday, and that is always fun. Beth gave me cookies, Justine and Summer gave me a mini-cake, and Rupert bought me lunch! I have the best co-workers ever, and I love my job. After work, I got to go get a pedicure and manicure with my Mom, which is the epitome of relaxing. It was very fun to spend some time with my Mom.
Then Dave and I went to the Roof for dinner. What a nice place that is! We had such a good time eating there, and we were SO full by the end of the evening. There was this one dessert that had little tiny spoons to eat it with, and Dave said, "Wow! Look at these little darlings!". I don't think I stopped laughing the entire time we were there. I had to take a picture because it was so funny.
After our delicious dinner, we went home and I opened the rest of my presents. Dave is such a good present giver, and always makes such a big deal out of my birthday or any occasion I have to celebrate. He made me my favorite cake, Funfetti, and even made pink frosting with sprinkles to go on the top. I am so stinkin' lucky!
Then, to finish off our evening of fun, we built a fort! We put our air mattress inside and loaded it with pillows and blankets. It was actually really cozy, cozy enough that we decided to sleep in there that night. For our anniversary Dave gave me the Newsies, which is one of my favorite shows, and we watched it in our fort while we ate birthday cake.
I had one of the best birthdays ever and was so sad the next morning when my birthday was over. I realized that I had another 364 days until my next birthday, and that was a little depressing. But, Dave's birthday is coming up in August, so we have another celebration headed our way!
That sounds like a perfect day! :) You guys are so cute!
