Thank you weekend!

We had the most relaxing weekend ever, and we needed it! I have really felt like our lives have been a little out of control lately! Dave has been so busy with homework, and we get home from work so late that it is hard to get everything finished that we need to before it is time to go to bed and do it all over again. We were really needing a nice break from it all.

Luckily, last weekend was General Conference which was SO great. I love conference. I love it so much. It is so peaceful and relaxing to me. I always have a sewing project to work on while I'm listening, and I look forward to it every six months. It didn't disappoint this time - it was exactly what Dave and I needed. I can't wait until the talks come out in next month's Ensign so we can study them on our drive into work.

Not only was conference the BEST, but we slept over at my Mom's house on Saturday night (so that we could watch the Sunday sessions of conference with my family), and it was just what we needed. My Mom went to so much work to get the house cleaned, to make dinner, and breakfast, and lunch, and another dinner made for us. The Easter bunny even came to her house and left Dave and I a basket. :) Then, in between the two sessions of conference, my Mom had an Easter Egg Hunt planned for us. She hid the eggs all over the house and as soon as she gave us the word, we got to run all over the house and find them! Some of the eggs had chocolate, some had pennies, some had dimes, some had nickels, some had quarters, some had $1 in them, and some even had $5 in them! There were also a few that had gift certificates to Keva Juice (the BEST smoothie place EVER!!) in them. Dave and I luckily got a good sampling of all the eggs, and had quite the treasure to take home. Isn't my Mom the cutest??

The weekend also included LOTS of game playing - one of my family's favorite pastimes. We played Apples to Apples, Ticket to Ride, and Monopoly, with only a few people feeling frustrated with their bad luck. :)

Dave and I felt much better, going into this week with the relaxing weekend we had. So - thanks to General Conference and to my Mom and family - we are feeling good! :)
