Our Free Date...or so we thought!

Friday was a long anticipated day for Dave and I. We had planned to go on a real, official date. We had some movie gift cards that we were planning on using, and we also had a gift card to Applebee's that we got for Christmas. We were going to see the Hunger Games (which, by the way, was a FANTASTIC movie! I liked it WAY better than I liked the book!) and had been planning on going for a long time. We have also been trying to save our pennies wherever we can, so we were thrilled that our date wouldn't cost us a single penny.

We finished dinner earlier than we thought we would, and so we headed over to the movie theater area, in Farmington, to look around at the new shopping complex they are building there. One of the stores there was called Home Goods, and so we decided to go in. My Mom had mentioned this store to me awhile ago when we were needing things to decorate our new house with, but I never looked into it until Friday.

We went in and we found exactly what we were picturing for our house! We had been looking for 4 months for an entry way table and a chair for our room. It took us about 10 minutes in Home Goods to find everything we had needed! So..we bought our entry way table, a chair for our bedroom, and a little table to go by the chair all for 200 bucks. Not bad, huh!? They look really good in our house and I was so excited to find them! I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning!

Don't worry - something cute will go on this table someday. :)

So, we had a $200 date instead of a free date, but we are okay with it, because now our house feels even more like a home. :)
