Weekend Trip to Phoenix

Last weekend Dave and I headed down to Phoenix to see my brother who moved there just a little bit ago. He's the one we bought the house from, and so we wanted to go see his new house that he built in Arizona. I had a day off of school because of parent teacher conferences last week, and so we decided to make it a quick 3 day weekend trip.

It was SOO much fun!

Their house is gorgeous, and we are so excited for them. They have a killer pool in their backyard, and we missed being able to swim in it by 2 days!! If only we were down there this weekend, we could have gone swimming in the awesome pool. But - maybe it's better that it wasn't done, because now we get to go back!

We had so much fun - really, it was SUCH a good weekend. Here are a few things we were able to do:

• Watch lots of movies
• Eat lots of treats
• Play at the park with my ADORABLE niece and nephew - see pictures below
• Had dinner at Johnny Rockets and had the TASTIEST strawberry Oreo shake. YUM!
• Geocaching (for the two boys, of course! :)  )
• Got a guided tour of Chandler and Gilbert (from my brother)
• Saw the new Gilbert temple that is under construction
• Went to the Phoenix Zoo - see pictures below
• Went to lunch at Paradise - I had the BEST macaroni and cheese. 
• Read lots of stories to the cutest little kiddos ever
• Listen to the entire third book of The Hunger Games driving there and back (which, for me, turned out to be a BIG let down. :(

We LOVED our trip and can't wait to go back! We are already planning a time to go back and visit. It was just the relaxing, rejuvenating weekend we needed, and it is always so nice to spend time with family. Thanks to Preston and Amy for the GREAT trip! We can't wait to come back and visit again!
